Milia is a skin complaint , called a milk spot or an oil seed is a clog  by the eccrine sweat gland.

Milia are the small white bumps that form on the face and any area of the body when dead skin cells get trapped under the skin, often go to away on their own in a few weeks or months.

Milia appear usually on eyelids, nose, cheeks, chin.

Milia are caused when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin.

Milia are generally caused either by previous skin trauma in the area or by a lipid deficiency in the skin cells at the basal layer which cause the skin cell to form crystallised lipids instead of smooth ones and these crystals appear as Milia.

The bumps themselves are also called milia and individual bumps are called milium.

It is commonly associated with the newborn buy may appear on people of any age.
